Estes Fund

The Estes Fund is a fund independent of St. Peter’s, but administered by our parish. It provides assistance for residents of Maury County above the age of 55 who have health needs that are not covered by insurance. There are limits as to how much can be disbursed to any person in any 12 month period.

The Estes Fund Committee meets at St. Peter’s on the third Thursday of the month to review applications. Applications must be received by Tuesday of that week in order to be considered at that month’s meeting.

Applications must include a detailed itemized estimate of services from the provider. Medication requests must include a list of the person’s medications they are asking the Estes Fund to assist with.

Approvals are good for 90 days. If the person does not proceed with the requested care within 90 days of approval, a new application must be filled out and submitted to the Estes Fund for consideration.

All payments will be made to the service provider/doctor’s office and not the person making the request.

In 2025, the committee disbursed $100,601 for 77 applicants. That included items such as:

eye exams and eyeglasses
hearing aids
dental care
medical equipment
home health aid
respite care
medication
