Stewardship 2025
Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children, and walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. – Ephesians 5:1-2

Dear Neighbors in Christ:
As the Stewardship Committee this year, we are grateful for the opportunity to start a conversation about what our Church means to us and why giving to God through our Church is itself a gift.
Our theme this year is Walk in Love. In sharing life together, the greatest gift is how we walk together in worship, fellowship, and service. When we walk in the same direction, we can do so many things.
It is true that during this season we talk about money and how it directs our budget, but our real focus is on the work God calls us to do. A budget is a spiritual document: it shows our priorities and aspirations. Jesus calls us to heal, visit, feed, accompany, protect, and love our neighbor whether that person sits behind us in the pew or is found halfway across the Earth. Sharing our time, talent, and treasure is the way we make this happen.
With this letter, you are also receiving an invitation to make a grace-based promise to support our Church for 2025. Otherwise known as a Pledge, it is the way we help shape our priorities and aspirations. Giving without a Pledge, otherwise known as “Plate giving,” is deeply appreciated, but a Pledge helps our Vestry make responsible plans for our ministries and programs. Before you fill it out, whether online or on paper, we ask that you pray about it, discuss it with your family, and discern how God is calling you to share your gifts. Please look at both sides of the form and let us know what time and talent offerings you would like to learn more about this year.
Our campaign will end on December 1, 2024. If possible, please return your answer to us by then so that we may count your pledge among the many others to—like the Bread offered at the Eucharist—be blessed, broken, and shared with the world. If there is anything we can do to support you or answer any questions, please contact our Treasurer, Melanie Lukas-Evanko.
Walking with you in His Love,
The St. Peter’s Stewardship Committee
